Terms of Service

1. General Provisions

LiveLens provides a platform for user interaction through real-time live streams.

The platform allows users to:

• create live stream requests,
• accept requests from other users,
• conduct live streams,
• go live on their own, without a request, in a public broadcast that other users may watch, like, and comment on,
• receive payments for streaming time.

LiveLens is not a direct provider of services and solely provides technological infrastructure for interaction between users.

2. Use of the Platform

Users agree to:

• use the platform in compliance with applicable laws,
• not publish or stream prohibited content,
• not use the platform for fraudulent or illegal activities,
• provide accurate information.

The platform reserves the right to restrict or block access in case of violations.

3. How the platform is used

There are no separate roles or modes. Every account may, at any time:

• post a request and watch a live stream made for it,
• accept a request from someone else and stream for them,
• do both, in either order, without any extra registration.

The words viewer and streamer describe the two sides of a single session, not two kinds of account.

4. Live Streaming Sessions

Viewers may:

• choose a streamer,
• specify a request,
• select stream duration,
• extend or end the stream.

Streamers independently choose whether to accept or decline incoming requests.

Any user may also start a broadcast without a request. A broadcast is public for its whole duration, is free to watch, and is not paid streaming time.

5. Payments

The cost of a stream is determined based on the per-minute rate set by the streamer.

Before a stream begins, the viewer confirms payment for the selected duration.

Funds are charged from the viewer's payment method at the beginning of the session.

During the stream, additional minutes may be added.

6. Platform Fee

LiveLens retains a service fee from transactions conducted within the platform. The service fee is 20% of the net amount of a session — that is, the amount charged to the viewer after the payment processor’s fee has been deducted — and the remaining 80% of that net amount is credited to the streamer.

An example, using the processor’s standard rate: on a session charged at $100, the processor’s fee leaves a net amount of about $96.80; LiveLens retains 20% of that, and about $77.44 is credited to the streamer.

Where the streamer was invited to LiveLens by another streamer, that service fee is paid to the person who invited them. One deduction applies: where the viewer’s card was issued in a different country from the one the payment is settled in, the payment processor charges more than the standard rate used in the example above, and that difference is deducted from the referral payment rather than from the streamer. Where the card and the settlement country match, nothing is deducted and the whole service fee is paid across. This does not change the streamer’s own share, which is 80% either way.

The platform fee amount may be changed at any time. The figure stated above is the current one and applies until it is updated on this page.

7. Streamer Payouts

After a stream is completed, funds are credited to the streamer minus the platform fee.

Withdrawals may be made to a bank account or other payout methods supported by the platform.

The platform may temporarily hold payouts for security checks, fraud prevention, or dispute review purposes.

8. Donations

While watching a public broadcast or a public session, a viewer may send a donation to the streamer. A donation is a voluntary gift from one user to another: it does not buy any content, feature, or service, and it gives the sender no right to the streamer’s time or attention.

A donation goes to the streamer in full. LiveLens takes no share of it; the only deduction is the fee of the payment processor (Stripe), which is taken from the amount before it is credited to the streamer.

A donation sent from the website or the Android app is charged to the sender’s saved payment method at the moment it is sent. The minimum donation is 1 US dollar. These donations are not refundable.

On iPhone, a donation is a gift bought through Apple’s in-app purchase, at the price the App Store shows in the buyer’s currency. That price includes Apple’s commission (and, in many countries, tax), so it is higher than the amount the gift names; the streamer receives the amount the gift names (5 US dollars for a 5-dollar gift). Refunds of these purchases are decided by Apple under its own terms. A gift Apple refunds is taken back from what the streamer is owed; if it was already paid out, its amount is taken off the following payouts.

Apple pays LiveLens for these purchases after each Apple fiscal month, within 45 days of its last day. LiveLens pays the streamer by a transfer to the streamer’s connected payout account, usually once a month, and only after Apple’s deadline for the month in which the gift counts has passed — about eight weeks after the end of that month. A gift counts in the Apple fiscal month in which LiveLens recorded it (a gift recorded on the last day of a month may count in the next one) or, if Apple reverses a refund of it, in the month of the reversal. The app shows the payout date of each gift. A payout comes later if the streamer has no connected payout account on that day, or if the funds are not yet available to LiveLens for the transfer.

Donations can be received only by streamers with a connected payout account (see Section 7). For a broadcast started without a request, the streamer chooses whether donations are on and may switch them off at any time.

A message attached to a donation is shown in the stream chat, with the sender’s display name and the amount, to everyone watching, and may be read aloud on the streamer’s phone. The same rules on content apply to it as to any comment (see Section 9).

9. Responsibility

Users are solely responsible for:

• the content of their streams,
• their actions while using the platform,
• compliance with the laws of their country.

The platform prohibits the publication, transmission, or streaming of illegal, prohibited, or rule-violating content.

LiveLens reserves the right to:

• restrict access to content,
• remove materials,
• suspend or block accounts,

if user activity violates platform rules or applicable laws.

Despite moderation efforts, LiveLens is not responsible for user actions or content published by users through the platform.

10. Access Restriction

The platform reserves the right to:

• limit account functionality,
• suspend payouts,
• block users,
• remove content,

if platform rules or laws are violated.

11. Changes to the Terms

The platform reserves the right to update these Terms at any time without prior notice.

Continued use of the platform constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
